The only way you can accomplish in life is to love yourselfwhen you have love  you can do anything.some important ideas are overcoming differences and making memories. throughout the story we hear about August life and his greatest adventure yet school friendships rivalries and heart breaks this story is truly amazing even through the death of the one thing that augast thinks overlooks his face and love him.  But the truth is people love him he just needs to find out.  I think throughout the story August starts school this year. and throughout the year kids start to change there opinion about August and he also thinks about himself different I think that the important idea is you have to learn to love yourself.(6)

 

In the beginning he starts out saying " I am not a ordinary ten year old boy yes I do ordinary things like i eat ice cream i ride my bike I play catch and play my Xbox". This shows that in the beginning what he thinks of himself he refers to himself as not an ordinary boy he literally knows this because ordinary kids do not make ordinary kids run away.  This supports my claim because he has to learn to love himself this is at the begging where he hates his deformity and hates himself for having it. When I first read this i immediately knew there was something wrong with his body. and one more clue to that he does not love himself in the begging of the story on page 43 he tries so hard to not get noticed and even raise his head up from his desk just so kids can not look at him. (5)

 

in his mind he thinks how can I love myself if other kids hate me call me the freak.  But the truth is for anyone to have others even like you you have to like yourself.  He does not know it but other kids do like him Christopher and summer like August and his family loves him.  He does not see it that way and so until August truly knows they love him he will never be able to love himself.  This was starting to happen but then a  huge set back  emerged jack will said in front of august that he did not like august in fact said "if i looked like that I would kill myself "this made august not just not love himself but at this point he hates himself. (5)

 

On page 165 to 167 August and jack are most likely texting and because friends over jack punching Julian.  Jack did not mean what he said he did not realize that when he said it but he realized after.  This skyrockets August feelings and at this point he lies himself but Julian had turn the whole 6 grade boys against him so they all hated him.  For a normal kid I would think it was terrible but to August having one true friend is amazing.  The part that I really think August learned to love  himself was the nature retreat as he was getting bullied Amos miles and Henry came out and helped him they had everybody forget about the war.  And the day August went to school without anyone snickering at him he realized that people loved him. an example of this is at the end his mom says “you really are wonder Auggie you are wonder” this shows they loved him and he loved them back finally August learned to love himself. (6)

 

My conclusion is when I think of myself in real life I could never overcame what agust did. It is amazing what aguast can overcome with the power of one persons love people can do anything. Aguast overcame his differences  toke insults from bullies a whole grade hating him. He went through all of this just to find out something he already knew .he realizes he is loved and he thinks of himself as wonder. (5)

it felt like just an ordinary game of trashasketball  basketball but a trash bin is our hoop and our ball was a volleyball.  I  steal the ball from Daylin ,Owens friend (my brother)  .and I rush to the take line and it happens i drop the ball. as a 7 foot man stands over me with a growl and a snarl the man named owen the nine year old who was towering over me smashed me into the corner. as I start bleeding I get up grab the ball and jump over  Owen and smash the ball in so hard i the net breaks.

My older brother griffin I could sum this up in one word he hates me.  He sleeps all day and when he is not he is watching netflix. The only Time he comes out of his room is to hurt me or Owen or eat.  He never talks to me
He always has headphones in his ears never listens
And makes it his objective of the day is to ruin mine.
Yes this is my life the life I love and that is why day after day I take it all the insults and mean gestgures.
